It went well under makeup and is the perfect addition to my wife’s skincare line.
First thing I noticed was that the box and the bottle itself are in Japanese or Korean. Thankfully, they put the ingredients and info in English on a sticker on the box, so I appreciate that! I looked this up before using it. I believe it is a Korean brand, and you can even find reviews of this brand on youtube - from bigger youtubers! I was excited to try it as soon as I saw that :) It's lightweight, not runny, gel moisturizer consistency, no scent. I used it before bed right after a shower but before I put my retinol on. It soaked right in, no greasy feel at all. My skin still felt the same when I woke up. This morning, I decided to put it to my personal ultimate test. Does it pill when I rub my SPF on? Nope! This stuff rocks. I do have dry skin, and can see myself needing a thicker moisturizer for the winter. But as an everyday moisturizer this is amazing. It did mention cooling properties. I can't attest to that, but the idea is awesome and there is some science based stuff backing that claim up. Overall, a great moisturizer for AM and PM.
I have very sensitive skin that is also prone to redness and acne. This cream has become one of my holy grails. I also own the aestura atobarrier cream, and lotion, but I must say the hydro soothing cream is my favorite for hot/humid summer Texas weather. It doesn’t irritate my skin, is lightweight, moisturizing and absorbs fast. It doesn’t pill on my skin like others do. I already ordered my third one because I don’t ever want to run out of it. I liked it that much.
This gel cream has been a nice (and safe) addition into my skin care routine. I have sensitive skin so it is rare that I can find something that doesn’t cause break outs (even though I do not have acne prone skin). I add it in areas where I need extra moisture. I have become a big fan of this product line in general. I will continue to repurchase and use.
